Ellen Cairns - Set and Costume Designer
Ellen Cairns trained at Glasgow School of Art and the Slade. She received the Arts Council Bursary in 1981 and subsequently became resident designer at Liverpool Playhouse during the Artistic Directorship of Chris Bond, Willy Russell, Alan Bleasdale and Bill Morrison.

She has been associated with the award winning Talawa Theatre Company where she designed several productions and her designs for “King Lear” is currently on display at the Theatre Museum London. She is a visiting tutor in Theatre Design at Central Saint Martins College.
