Mark has lit more than 40 West End productions including Mrs Wilson’s Diary, Criterion Theatre, The Secret of Sherlock Holmes Wyndhams Theatre Time and the Conways Old Vic, Cotton Club Aldwych Theatre, Present Laughter, Globe Theatre Miracle Worker Comedy Theatre In Praise of Love Gielgud Theatre. Pygmalion and Stepping Out Albery Theatre.
For the Royal Shakespeare Company he has designed Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet.
He has designed Opera and Ballet for Sadlers Wells Royal Ballet , Stuttgart Ballet , Phoenix Opera, Kent Opera, three seasons for Dublin Opera, Wexford Opera Festival. He designed Ottone at the QEH and the world premiere of Sir Peter Maxwell Davies Martyrdom of St Magnus in Kirkwell Cathedral Orkney.
Mark has worked extensively abroad including productions at the National Theatres of France, Iceland , Ireland The Abbey, Gate Theatre Dublin. He has lit many productions in Denmark including the World Premiere of Solzhenitsyn’s Love Girl and the Innocent Aalborg, Sunday in the Park with George Copenhagen , Sweeny Todd, Candide, Le Miserables and the New Danish Musical Atlantis.
His UK credits include Pickwick Chichester Festival Theatre, How Was it for You, and I’ve Been Here Before, Fair Game Theatre Royal Plymouth, Miracle Worker and In Praise of Love Leatherhead, The Cherry Orchard Haymarket Leicester,Shirley Valentine Liverpool Playhouse, Sugar, Merchant of Venice, Mail Order Bride, Call in the Night, Pilgerman. King Lear, The Beautifaction of Area Boy also New York and Australia Jar the Floor,Vanity Fair and Pygmalion all at the West Yorkshire Playhouse.
Most recently he lit The Winters Tale Bridewell Theatre, Kings at the Tricycle Theatre,
Pygmalion and the new Musical Stepping Out at the Albery Theatre and The Magician of Hollywood for Danish TV.
He lit the 1997/98/99 Pitlochry Festival of plays.
