Andrew Loudon - Director
Andrew is Artistic Director and co-founder of Novel Theatre. His production of Little Women recently ran for sixteen weeks at the Duchess Theatre in the West End.

Andrew made his directorial debut in 1999 at the Pleasance, Edinburgh, with Little Women. The success of the show led to his further productions at Sadler’s Wells, (2002/03) and its West End run at the Duchess Theatre (2004/05).
For Novel Theatre he has also directed Anne of Green Gables, (2004/05) and Carrie’s War (2006/07) both at the Lilian Baylis Theatre, Sadler's Wells.
Recent directing credits include Gertrude’s Secret - monologues, starring Prunella Scales at The King’s Head (2006) which transferred to the New End Theatre (2007) and a multimedia adaptation of George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four (Arts Educational School, 2006), which he co-wrote with Emma Reeves.
Workshop productions include Cool Hand Luke (Garrick Theatre), which is now in development for a West End production with Novel Theatre, Mary Barton (Norwich), and Open Ground (Hampstead Theatre).
Andrew is also a writer and actor. His writing credits include: The Trailer and The Red Gloves, both Arts Council commissions for Snap Theatre Company; Dangerous Play (The Arts Theatre); Road Rage (Gilded Balloon main stage, Edinburgh) and in collaboration with Emma Reeves, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes for Paris-based Theatre en Anglais and Nineteen Eighty-Four.
As an actor, Andrew’s TV appearances include Geoff McNeil in Peak Practice, Geoff in Absolutely Fabulous, Gavin MacMorrow in Monarch of the Glen, Doctors, The Bill, Next of Kin, Grange Hill and Mayday. Films include Almost Home and Channel 4 Film Busker’s Odyssey.
